The 16th China International Traffic Safety Products Expo concluded on Friday in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province, highlighting the increasingly important role of artificial intelligence and intelligent systems in traffic management.
Held under the theme “New Quality and Performance in the Transport Sector: Four Innovations for Enhanced Safety,” the event spanned three days and occupied 40,000 square meters. More than 360 exhibitors presented approximately 4,000 products at over 1,800 booths.
The technologies presented are primarily focused on the digitalization of road safety, including the integration of vehicles, roads and cloud computing, holographic intersection recognition, video analysis using artificial intelligence and control systems based on digital twins, as well as intelligent equipment for law enforcement.
Two industry documents were presented at the opening ceremony: the “Blue Book on Road Safety Development for Intelligent Connected Vehicles (2026 Edition)” and the “Recommended Catalogue of Road Safety Products and Equipment (2026 Edition)”.
Founded in 2004, the exhibition has grown into an important platform for China’s road safety sector, reflecting a broader shift in the country towards data-driven and systems-based solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
