As part of the North West Growth Centre Road Network Development Strategy, the Australian Federal Government and the New South Wales Government are funding upgrades to Richmond Road (between the M7 and Townsend Road in Marsden Park) to support the development of the rapidly growing North West Growth Centre.
Work began with the installation of fencing, paths and markings on Richmond Road, followed by clearing the area, removing soil and asphalt, and carrying out earthworks to prepare the site.
The Gamuda DTI joint venture won the tender. Preparatory work will begin in early December, with full-scale construction scheduled to begin in January 2026.
