Glass beads comply with GOST 32848-2014
“Public Highways. Road Marking Products. Technical Requirements (Amended Edition).
Appearance: transparent spherical glass particles, a homogeneous bulk material, white in color; light gray or light blue shades are permitted.
1. Technical Specifications: Size – 100-600micrometers;
Refractive Index – not less than 1.50;
Guaranteed shelf life from date of delivery – not less than 12 months;
The content of defective glass beads must not exceed 20%.
The content of foreign particles in glass beads must not exceed 3%.
Glass beads must be resistant to the static effects of liquids: water, hydrochloric acid solutions, sodium chloride, and sodium hydroxide.
The surface of the glass beads exposed to water, hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride, and sodium hydroxide solutions should not show any visible changes compared to the control sample.
The material must comply with the test methods of GOST 32849-2014.
2. Requirements for transportation and labeling:
2.1 Glass beads are packed in paper bags laminated with polyethylene in accordance with GOST 2226 or in polyethylene bags in accordance with GOST 17811. Paper bags should be stitched or sealed. The net weight of one bag should not exceed 25 kg.
2.2 Bags must be clearly and durably marked with the following information:
- name of the product;
- name of the country of manufacture/manufacturer;
- designation of the regulatory document in accordance with which the product was manufactured;
- rules and conditions for safe storage and transportation;
- net weight;
- manufacturer’s trademark;
- date of manufacture;
- batch number;
- expiration date.
2.4 Marking products must be supplied with accompanying documentation from the manufacturer, which contains:
- a data sheet with the main characteristics of the material (product);
- instructions for the use of the material;
- safety regulations, transportation and storage rules;
- an environmental (hygienic) certificate or other document confirming environmental (hygienic) safety.
